files, as well as being printed to paper. The destination folder for .Pdf files is nominated, and the .Pdf files

SchoolWrite Lite.

SchoolWrite Lite is a subset of the Windows
software, that is free of charge to educational institutions, without registration. SchoolWrite Lite academic
records are 100% compatible with SchoolWrite registered software. Registered software is required for
Intranet, plus extra printouts, plus all other modules.

Absentee notifications by email

Automatic generation of emails when students are absent. Parents are notified within minutes of the roll being marked and entered. Technical setup is not required. The email server and settings of the normal email program are used.

Automatic fees billing (enhanced)

Billing of school fees is an automatic process, on request. Fees may be billed for selected school years and now selected Home Classes. Extra charges may be billed progressively throughout the Term for specified subjects, classes or school years.

Multiple superannuation funds per employee

Contributions are made on behalf of the employee to Superannuation (Social Security) funds. Employer and employee payments may be contributed to as many as 9 separate Funds. The default is 3, and the settings may be changed.
Print preview (enhanced)

Preview of printed reports before sending to hard copy is a standard feature of SchoolWrite. The preview screen zooms in with a left mouse click, zooms out with a right click. The visible window is scrolled by dragging the cursor up, down, left or right. All pages or selected pages can be printed on hard copy.

On-line backup (enhanced)

The menu option for backing up data files now displays on-screen progress. Only DATA files are backed up, using standard .zip format with an average compression factor of 10:1. Backup files are directed to any location on the network - ideally to removable media.
Second currency

The second currency fees menu allows billing of school fees, and collection of outstanding amounts, in a currency that is different to that of the main School Fees Menu. This option is used particularly by International Schools that bill and collect fees in (eg)US$, and also in the main currency of the host country. Postings to the General Ledger are at the current exchange rate. (Can also be used as a subsidiary fees ledger using standard currency.)
Configuration for tertiary institutions

Business colleges, tutoring colleges and universities may be configured, and so can K-12 schools. Faculty / Course / Mentor Group / Debtors are suitable for tertiary colleges. Grade / Home Class / Sports House / Parents are suitable for K-12 schools. The setup configuration may be changed to suit.

Timetable Clash reports

Clash reports list Teachers / Rooms that are allocated more than once to the same period. Clashes may be acceptable (eg 2 streams taught in the same classroom). However clashes may also indicate an error in Timetable allocations, where corrections need to be made.
Address changes

Address changes in one database automatically look for equal or similar addresses in the other databases. Eg Change of Parent address for a current student looks for same/similar addresses in Past Students and Future Enrolments and offers to change each one automatically.
Spell checker

Teachers' comments are spell-checked with a 70,000 word dictionary. Comments for one teacher or for one school year may be bulk checked in the central SchoolWrite database (ReportWrite menu). Teachers also spell-check their own comments in ReportWrite off-site downloads.

Parents may be allocated a payment category eg weekly / monthly / quarterly / annual. Selective printouts by category may be made when printing Fees Statements, Aged Trial Balance and Parent Lists.
