COMMUNICATE WITH PARENTS

Communicate with Parents via SMS, email and standard letters merged with Parents' particulars. Parents can be notified within minutes of the roll being marked, with personalised details of their child's absence. Absentee SMS messages and emails are some of SchoolWrite's security features.

SMS Email & Letters

Broadcast communication to Parents is fast via SMS, email and printed letters. General emails may include an attachment, such as a school newsletter.
SMS messages are sent automatically to any grouping of Parents, such as

  • overdue fees
  • parents of a nominated Grade/Class
  • P&C / PTA
  • parents of absentee students

The selection of Parents to receive the communication is first established: eg
- parents in certain categories
- parents owing more than a specified amount in school fees
- parents with students in specified Grades and classes

Left-hand side of screen:

SchoolWrite sends emails to a commercial Provider of email to SMS services. The provider receives the emails with destination phone numbers included, and automatically sends them to each parent's cell phone.

Right-hand side of screen:

Emails are sent direct to parents' addresses when they are appropriately marked to receive automatic emails.

 

 

Emails & SMS can be sent where there is a working email program, such as Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Express, Netscape, Eudora or Mozilla. No technical knowledge is required for set up.

 

Letters

Standard letters are addressed to the parent, either via the oldest child's Home Class, or direct to the home address.

Standard letters include merged data for each parent at the desired places. Standard letters may be printed for Parents, for Future Enrolment parents, and for Past Students.
